Pier One Floral Cotton Throw Pillow

I was at Pier One last week and saw these gorgeous throw pillows.  The fabric on the back is such a pretty pink.  Perfectly fresh and bright after the too-sparkly Christmas season.

I'm a sucker for pretty things.  And I almost bought two - on the spot.

But then I looked at the price - $25.95 each.
And I thought about what else I could do with $51.90. 

Gas for my vehicle?
Groceries for the week? (oh yes.  for a family of 6.  I cook mostly vegetarian-ish)
An art class?  Preschool tuition?  Piano tuning?  Date night?

When we were little my mom taught us how to avoid making an impulse purchase.
Go home and think about the merchandise for three days.
After three days - if you still want it - it could possibly be a good purchase.  

Needless to say - I left the store empty-handed.

And I am still thinking about those pretty pretty throw pillows.
