My Silhouette Photo Wall - Part I

I'm so excited to present the evolution of my silhouette photo wall.  (This is the FIRST installment of five.)

Inspiration
Back in August 2009 I blogged about these images which initially inspired me.  But I also wanted something a little different than the same-old-profile-look of most silhouette walls.

In September 2009 I read an article featuring the work of artist/photographer Katie Sokoler.  This woman is talented, imaginative and absolutely FUN.  I was soooo inspired by Katie's kitschy attitude that came across in this silhouette collection she assembled (image via).

 I wanted to reinterpret her concept in my home the following ways:
1. dynamic body images (instead of profile head shots)
2. silhouette subjects interacting with each other (LOVE the couple {above}holding hands)
3. represent my immediate family members - as well as places/objects that are meaningful to us
4. re-create the gag of something escaping the frame
